Make Waves Murals began with a simple idea—telling our own stories through bold color in a small Virginia town that deserved more voices on its walls. As a mom and art educator, Christina Davis knew that art could do more than decorate—it could speak, include, and inspire. What started with one mural became a movement: transforming spaces, amplifying voices, and teaching others how to do the same through community-driven public art. From school walls to storefronts, and even bedroom makeovers, we believe color has the power to represent identity, reshape spaces, and spark change. We welcome all kinds of creators—volunteers, students, and fellow artists—to help paint a future that reflects all of us.
